Job summary BAND 4 THERAPY ASSISTANT PRACTITIONER - PELVIC HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY (33.75 hours per week) An exciting opportunity has become available for a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join oursupportive and enthusiastic Pelvic Health Therapy Team in providing essential assessment and treatment for perinatal patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. We are a small team of specialist physiotherapists and therapy assistant practitioners treating pelvic dysfunction in men, women and children in an outpatient setting at the James Paget University Hospital (JPUH), Gorleston. We also support post-operative gynaecology and perinatal patients in ward settings within the hospital and work closely with our obstetric and midwifery colleagues. This role will be split between JPUH and community midwifery hubs in the Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth areas. A vehicle and driving licence is essential. Main duties of the job As the successful post-holder, you will provide antenatal information to women accessing health services via the midwifery team and will be involved in different types of care delivery in order to meet patients' individual needs, for example, webinars, group sessions and one-to-one assessment. You will support the team by playing a key role in providing postnatal advice and post-operative gynaecology advice to inpatients. Due to the fluctuating daily working demands within the speciality, you may also support the physiotherapists with outpatient clinics for both obstetrics and gynaecology patients which may involve individual or group therapy. In addition to this, some administrative and chaperone duties may be required. Core working hours are 8.00am-4.00pm weekdays, but flexibility can be discussed.
