GSL Education are looking for a Phonics Intervention Teacher to join a supportive school in Hull. This part-time, flexible position offers a pay rate of £120 - £150 per day, depending on experience, and begins after the February half-term. You will work with small groups of KS1 pupils, delivering targeted phonics support that builds their confidence and reading skills. As a Phonics Intervention Teacher, you will provide focused, targeted phonics support to small groups of pupils who need extra help in developing their reading abilities. You will design and deliver effective phonics sessions, using your expertise to enhance students' understanding of phonics and promote independent reading skills. Responsibilities of the Phonics Intervention Teacher: Deliver phonics intervention sessions to small groups of KS1 pupils. Provide targeted support to help pupils improve their reading and phonics knowledge. Plan and prepare engaging, effective phonics lessons tailored to individual needs. Track and monitor pupil progress, offering feedback and adapting lessons as necessary. Work closely with class teachers and other staff to ensure pupils' phonics development is fully supported. Requirements of the Phonics Intervention Teacher: Strong knowledge of phonics frameworks and strategies (e.g., Letters and Sounds, Jolly Phonics, etc.). Experience working with KS1 children and delivering phonics interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A creative and engaging teaching approach to help children develop confidence in reading. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
