Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated, developing their career in IT support within a growing and innovative company. You will provide IT technical support to the Empower Family Group and its subsidiaries. You will be based at our head office in Taunton.
Job Responsibility
1. Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
2. Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
4. Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment and systems.
5. Collaborate in the development of a maintained Knowledge Base, containing all IT-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Empower Family Group.
6. Develop support documentation to assist users with common issues.
7. Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts and permissions across multiple services.
8. Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and supplies, including laptops, mobile devices, and SIM cards, ordering stock where necessary.
9. Manage the issuance and return of equipment for new joiners and leavers, ensuring all assets are accurately tracked and documented in the inventory system.
10. Act as the primary point of contact and super-user for external services utilized by internal departments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal use of these tools.
11. Maintain and manage internal server resources, including Active Directory and PBX server, ensuring prompt resolution of any issues.

Desirable
1. Proven work experience in IT support or IT Technician roles.
2. Practical experience with internet and network security protocols.
3. 3 GCSE (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 (previously Grade A-C) in any subject, plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade 3 (previously Grade D) or above, or an equivalent IT-related level 3 course.
