Engineering Programme Manager

£70,000 base salary + £5,500 car allowance

Our client is one of the UK’s leading convenience food manufacturers, producing both chilled and frozen products. Their product range covers sandwiches, soups, sushi, cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals, totalling over 1,600 products across 20 categories. Positioned as one of the major food manufacturers in the UK, they are the largest sandwich producer supplying all major supermarkets. With 35 UK locations, they make over 10,400 deliveries, generating revenues of £1.9 billion. The Role
The role of Engineering Programme Manager will involve:
1. Managing the delivery of projects with a total budget up to £40M across 3 UK sites.
2. Working closely with key stakeholders across all 3 locations, ensuring business alignment between Project Management and the Senior Leadership Team for each location.
3. Overseeing projects covering everything from machinery upgrades to full site renovations.
4. Taking ownership of capital expenditure requests, and ensuring all regulations, legislation and compliance are adhered to.
5. Managing cross-functional relationships with reliability teams, suppliers, health & safety, engineering, operations, hygiene, and technical teams.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Engineering Programme Manager role you will need:
1. Experience operating as a Programme Manager with full capital expenditure responsibility, and exposure to managing a small team.
2. The ability to manage a portfolio of multi-site projects, ensuring they are delivered on time in full and within agreed budgets.
3. Experience operating in a fast-paced, compliancy driven environment.
4. A project management or engineering qualification would be advantageous.
