ABOUT THE ROLE
The company are looking for a Site Agent to work on their Welsh Water framework. The types of work will be reactive maintenance on a wastewater framework. The projects that you’ll be involved in will range from waste water and clean water, developer services, repair and maintenance and sewer connections and om existing infrastructure. You will be reporting into the operations manager and work will range from replacing manholes to deep excavations across their network. This role will be based out of the office in Rhyl, North Wales and will involve lots of travel to various sites. Future work will include Welsh Water capital investment projects on larger schemes over the coming 18 months. The framework turns over £12M and packages range from £100 – £20,000. The successful professional will be expected to operate and promote a high standard of health and safety by ensuring Method Statements and Risk Assessments are in place for all aspects of the works. You’ll have to check engineering drawings/specifications, identifying and resolving design conflicts.
You’ll be in charge of undertaking management of Sub Agents, Section Engineers, Site Engineers and sub-contractors whilst you work closely and report directly to the Operations Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
You’ll be required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC) in a Construction, Civils, commercial management or quantity surveying or equivalent qualification.
It’s important to have experience working within highways for a tier 1 or tier 2 company as a quantity surveyor and to show good long-term stability at the companies you have worked for.
You’ll also need a full UK driver’s license to allow to get from the office to the construction site and to other locations you might require to visit.
