Our EMEA Strategic Equity Transactions Group (SETG) sits in London within the Investment Banking Division and focuses on the management of strategic equity stakes. Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst / Associate to join our Strategic Equity Transactions Group in London. The team originates, structures and executes derivative solutions to help clients acquiring and managing stakes in listed companies. The range of transactions the SETG team executes includes minority stake acquisitions in listed companies, equity-based financing, risk management strategies, as well as corporate solutions such as structured share buybacks and tailored derivative strategies for M&A situations. You will be working closely with ECM and other capital markets groups, industry teams and coverage bankers, as well as Corporate Derivatives traders, who are part of the Equities division. Key Responsibilities: Support the origination, structuring, and execution of structured equity transactions, including derivative hedging and financing strategies Work closely with investment banking, trading, and legal teams to structure and execute transactions Preparing detailed and highly tailored pitchbooks and live deal materials Analyzing detailed corporate information including financial disclosures and M&A deal structures Building and using financial and derivatives pricing models Monitor market trends, analyze pricing dynamics, and provide insights on market opportunities to clients Manage relationships with corporate issuers, institutional investors, and hedge funds Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies Key Qualifications & Skills: 1-5 years of experience in structured equity solutions, equity derivatives, equity-linked or other capital markets groups, within investment banking, or sales & trading Strong technical skills in financial modeling, derivatives pricing, and capital markets structuring Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, and other financial tools Deep understanding of credit analysis, risk and equity derivatives pricing and structuring Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to create compelling client presentations Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across different functions
