M&E Clerk of Works HAYS are currently recruiting for an M&E Clerk of Works to oversee the mechanical and electrical (M&E) aspects of a high-end residential project in Andover. The role involves ensuring that all M&E installations are completed to the highest standards, in compliance with design specifications, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect M&E works to ensure compliance with design specifications, standards, and regulations. Site Supervision: Regularly visit the construction site to oversee the progress of M&E installations and address any issues that arise. Coordination: Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of M&E works. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and any non-conformances. Prepare detailed reports for the Project Manager. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues related to M&E installations promptly. Compliance: Ensure all M&E work complies with health and safety regulations and building codes. Testing and Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of M&E systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet project requirements. Communication: Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and other relevant parties on the status of M&E works. Qualifications: Education: Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in high-end residential projects. Knowledge: Strong understanding of M&E systems, building regulations, and health and safety standards. Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Certifications: Relevant certifications in M&E disciplines are desirable.
