Job Description
This is a full-time prison/office based role. There is the option for compressed hours on a 4 day week, or 9 day fortnight if deemed appropriate. This is not a hybrid/remote role.
An exciting opportunity to work for the Offender Management unit (OMU) at HMP Thameside, the only OMU in the country delivered by a third sector organisation since its opening in 2012. Following a recent Prison inspection, Charlie Taylor (HM Chief Inspector of Prisons) described this service to be " the best provision (he) had seen during the last year ".
We are seeking a driven individual who strives for best practice and is passionate in making a difference to people’s lives. In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of a high performing Offender Management Service with its function to identify, assess, address, and reduce risks of sentenced prisoners, whilst also motivating them to engage positively within custodial regime.

What does good look like for this role?
Knowledge and skills:
1. Understanding or awareness of the factors that contribute to offending behaviour.
2. Knowledge of rehabilitation.
3. Understanding of professional boundaries when working with vulnerable people.
Essential criteria:
4. Ability to proactively manage a caseload and work collaboratively with other agencies.
5. Ability to work well in high pressured environments and be resilient to change.
6. Attention to detail particularly relating to recording of work and meeting of deadlines.
7. Willingness to undertake additional training and development
