The YP's Support Worker is responsible for assisting young people in their physical, emotional, social, and educational development. They work to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where young people can thrive and reach their full potential.

Job Summary:
The Support Worker is responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people within the service. This role involves ensuring the welfare of each child, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting their development and well-being. The role requires compassion, dedication, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the Care and Welfare of Each Child:
* Provide direct care and supervision to children and young people, ensuring their safety, health, and emotional well-being.
* Follow and adhere to each child’s Placement Plan.
* Promote and support the education of each child, ensuring consistent attendance.
* Support and Collaboration:
* Work collaboratively with other Support Workers and senior staff.
* Act professionally and adhere to all policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Participate in duty rotas and gain varied work experience by working with different staff members.
* Communication and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily activities, incidents, and any significant events.
* Complete incident/accident forms or restraint forms as applicable and submit them promptly.
* Familiarise yourself with and follow Child Protection Procedures and company policies.
* Send a report every Friday to team leader for individual service, with an overview of week of support with YP’s, escalate any concerns, follow up previously raised issues.
* Engagement and Development:
* Plan and participate in activities that engage and develop the children.
* Support children in developing life skills and positive behaviours.
* Foster a positive and nurturing environment that supports the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Minimum experience of 6 months working with young people.
* NVQ Level 3 in health and social care (Preferred, but not required).
* The right to work in the UK.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Experience working with youth services settings.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the well-being of young people.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
