SECURITY CLEARANCE: Involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicants to be UK Nationals Only (No Dual Nationals) and able to be security cleared to a UK Eyes Only SC level
LOCATION: Site Based Mon-Fri - Newport, South Wales (relocation packages offered)

This role is a unique opportunity to lead a team of systems engineers across a variety of exciting projects with an acute focus on delivery. You will use your experience in systems engineering to guide multi-functional teams that include Software, Hardware, Mechanical and FPGA engineers towards the efficient delivery of High Grade Crypto and Key Management solutions. You will be an influential player in our task to design and deploy highly innovative encryption and cyber technologies. Furthermore, as a Senior Systems Engineer, you will have the chance to guide and mentor junior colleagues in an effort to encourage continuous improvement throughout the whole team.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
* Lead Systems Engineering processes to develop design solutions to engineering problems with a focus on project delivery
* Be accountable for the success of engineering delivery when interfacing with other key leaders within the Cyber Programmes business
* Be involved in the full lifecycle of the product, from requirements elicitation through to verification/certification
* Collaborate with the system, hardware and software architects to ensure consistency and technical excellence throughout the engineering lifecycle
* Develop, mentor and support junior engineers to generate Systems Engineering artefacts across the product development lifecycle
ABOUT YOU
* Experience leading engineers in the full Systems Engineering lifecycle
* Demonstrable experience in project delivery with an understanding of the cost implications of technical trade-offs
* Experience in piloting technical/detailed information and generate analytical overviews adapted to different stakeholders
* Ability to apply learned skills and expertise and support more junior systems engineers
