NHS Grampian operates two nurseries in Aberdeen providing a total of 155 childcare places aged from 6 months to 5 years. Through the provision of this service the Nursery service supports the recruitment and retention of key healthcare staff.
We are pleased to offer applicants the opportunity to join our NHS Grampian Nurseries team at Little Acorns Day Nursery as a Nursery Practitioner. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting children from 6 months up to 5 year in their care, learning and development.
Applicants should have relevant experience of working in a nursery setting and be willing to interact with the children at their individual levels and be proactive in the day to day care of the children. Ensuring that their overall needs are met through both indoor and outdoor play, having had experience of implementing My World Outdoors Realising the Ambition and other relevant curricular documents. Candidates must be willing to be part of the nursery teams, be supportive and show good communication skills.
Applicants must have the following qualifications as per the SSSC requirements for the Nursery Practitioner role; SVQ SSCYP SCQF Level 7 or HNC in Childhood Practice or equivalent.
The role is full time, flexibility between the working hours of 6.30 a.m.-6.00 p.m. is required.
