Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week
Location of post: Hybrid Working (Home/ Margam Park)
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Project Development Officer to join our team.
This role will assist in delivering an exciting grant scheme which is being delivered by the council with funding from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund.
The post is designated to the development of the Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Events fund which will be accessible to public, private and voluntary sector organisations to deliver priority projects as identified in NPTCBC Culture, Tourism, Heritage and Events strategies.
The main duties of the post;
1. Assist in delivery of SPF funded grant schemes within Regeneration, Economic Development and Visitor Economy sections through close and effective working with applicants, stakeholders and partner organisations.
2. To deliver advice and guidance to project applicants in the public, private and voluntary sectors relating to the suitability of project proposals and alignment with funding criteria.
3. To support the Project Manager in ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with agreements made with UK Government and regional governance structures.
4. To compile evidence to the agreed standard for financial claims and within set deadlines.
5. Develop and maintain monitoring, reporting and evaluation systems for projects, with robust and accurate record keeping systems.
6. Monitor performance through gathering data, producing statistical reports and advise the Project Manager and senior officers on progress towards performance targets.
7. Ensure that the project is delivered within the agreed delivery profile and to the quality standard required by NPTCBC and UK Government.
8. To complete project reporting in a timely manner to ensure compliance with the terms of the funding.
9. Assist in the promotion of regeneration and visitor economy activity within Neath Port Talbot by writing positive press releases and creating specific content for social media, websites and other promotional activities.
10. Occasionally work unsocial hours, including evening and weekend work as required.
11. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post.
You will have experience in/of;
12. Experience in developing projects.
13. Working knowledge of the administration of third party grant schemes.
14. Experience of working in partnership and coordinating a diverse group of people is also essential.
Candidates should possess a HND qualification in a relevant field.
