Control Systems Engineer - Systems Integration

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Staffordshire. This is a pivotal role within a leading systems integration environment, working on projects across a range of industries, including Water, Power, Energy, Food & Beverage, and Pharmaceuticals. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will manage projects from conception to completion, delivering bespoke control systems solutions that meet our clients' unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage full project lifecycles, from initial requirements gathering through design, development, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
2. Develop, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems, particularly using platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Schneider.
3. Design, implement, and optimize SCADA solutions to provide reliable and user-friendly control interfaces.
4. Integrate Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to ensure seamless data communication and process management.
5. Travel to client sites to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems.
6. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
7. Produce high-quality documentation, including functional design specifications, test protocols, and user manuals.
8. Provide post-installation support and troubleshooting to ensure long-term system performance.
Requirements:
1. Proven background in a systems integration environment, with experience delivering projects in industries such as Water, Power, Energy, Food & Beverage, or Pharmaceuticals.
2. Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider), SCADA system development, and MES integration.
3. Ability to manage projects independently, adhering to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
4. Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
5. Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
6. Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
