As our practice is growing in size, we are looking for a friendly, patient-focused dental nurse to join our expanding team. Oradent Dental Care treats both NHS and private patients in the local community.
Supporting You:
The successful candidate will be fully supported by the site Practice Manager and Head Nurse. In addition to this, you will also receive the support of our Senior Management Team; which currently includes: HR Manager, Operations Director, Business Development, Patient Experience Director and the Practice Principals/Owners.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern: Monday - Saturday, Flexible shift pattern
Full-time role or 2 people part-time will be considered, permanent contract.
Overview of Role:
The role of a Qualified Dental Nurse is to work alongside and assist Dentists and Hygienists in the care of patients. With the view to achieve excellent customer service, quality, and delivery performance that are in line with company strategy, goals, and values.
Job tasks can include:
1. Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
2. Maintain CPD and training matrix in line with the company policies.
3. To provide chairside assistance to all clinicians and the procedures that may be involved.
4. To comply with current infection control procedures and policies.
5. Keep full, accurate patient records and update patient records keeping in with GDPR policies.
6. Be familiar with all the dental services we offer.
7. Be confident to work with computerised dental systems (training will be given in Dentally).
8. Monitor, support, and reassure patients along with giving appropriate patient advice.
9. Support the patient and their colleagues if there is a medical emergency.
10. Ensure surgeries are well stocked/maintained at all times.
11. Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
12. Reception and decon cover may be required.
Qualifications:
1. GCSE or equivalent.
2. GDC Registration.
3. NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing (or equivalent).
Desirables:
1. Qualified Dental Practice Nursing: 2 years (preferred).
2. Certificate in Dental Radiography (or equivalent).
3. Sedation or Implant Experience/Qualifications.
Skills:
1. Able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
2. Maintain high standards of patient care.
3. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
4. Deliver high standards of care to our patients.
