We are delighted to offer this fantastic role within our Atelier Department. You will work across the workroom, studio and store to manage the workflow ensuring garments are produced to specifications and that our clients are delighted with their Emilia Wickstead garment.
STUDIO
* Attend Friday MTO, MTMB & Bespoke meeting – using the private client overview to outline the week ahead with store consultants.
* Weekly one to one catch up with Atelier Director & Bespoke Bridal Manager to review the week - challenges.
* To provide a report on MTO happenings /quotes/ ideas to generate improvement in the MTO area for the weekly Operations Meetings.
* Processing MTO orders from the store.
* Coordinating Made to Order’s with factories in London and in Europe.
* Ordering all fabrics, trimmings, and materials in house, check internal stock first.
* Creating order forms for each order that is processed to add to the visual ‘wall’ overview.
* Supporting all store sales consultants with general enquiries from the day-to-day running of the store.
* Send swatch cards for new quotes to help with closure of sale.
* Swatch books to be updated seasonally both in store & studio.
* Organising deliveries to the store each day in the allocated time slots, with detailed delivery notes, emailed through to the store.
* Coordination of client alterations between store sales consultant, seamstress and atelier.
* Upload all client fitting images & notes to server for MTO clients.
* Manage the fabric stock server – updating any changes to LIVE spreadsheet.
* Helping with fabric stock movement Atelier – Storage – Sell.
ATELIER GENERAL
* Staying on top of stock orders for Atelier general, trims, equipment, cutting paper, garment bags, machine needles, zips etc…
* Staying on top of trim cupboard organisation, keeping tidy, updating storage area.
TECHNICAL
* Understand, oversee & assemble MTO, tech packs for all Private Clients orders.
* Source & order all necessary components for private clients (trims, binding, fusing etc).
* Provide pattern makers and pattern cutters with a clear technical directive for each project.
* Pull patterns when required, check pattern pieces & fusings are correct.
* Understand the different types of fusing and how they work with different fabrics & garments.
* Oversee technical decisions on in house production for Private Clients.
* Quality control of garments (both those made in house and by our external manufacturers).
* ZEDONK – enter ALL orders into zedonk for all clients/fabric, so accounts can view each client and see the margin achieved from final completion to original approved quote.
* Monitor private client and track orders, from launch through to finishing stage, ensuring that Atelier internal allocation boards are constantly updated, monitoring progress and cancellations.
* Follow the critical path and help to ensure that development deadlines are met, flagging issues early to relevant parties, helping to avoid and resolve problems and communicating changes to the team.
* Order VIP, lining and trimmings in line with margins and critical path dates.
* Overseeing fabric testing, sewing tests and mock-ups for VIP, regarding finishing’s and fusings.
* Maintain consistency of quality and fit across all orders.
* Communicate fit, quality and construction requirements to manufactures through sample comments.
* Visiting factories to ensure EW quality and performance standards are met.
* Manage the production of all outsourced MTO samples, liaising with the factories, preparing sample packs and ensuring the samples are delivered, on time and on target.
* Managing quality feedback from EW store and take appropriate action to implement improvement where necessary.
* Reporting in & Supporting Bespoke Bridal Manager & Head of Atelier as required with Fashion Weeks & special projects.
* Pull patterns for MTO send outs.
ALTERATIONS FROM STORE
* Check incoming alterations and allocate these to alteration seamstress, providing fitting photos for better visuals for the machinist to gauge alterations.
STORE
* Weekly meetings with 'Store Management’ & Senior Consultants to review all current client list/quotes/presentations and ensure you are all on the same page for client orders.
* Organisation of deliveries to and from store.
* Deliveries of MTO.
* Deliveries of fabric swatches/colour cards for clients.
* Return of all alterations completed in house.
* Liaising on any technical enquiries relating to the daily alteration of pieces for Private Clients/store walk ins.
FINANCIAL
* Keeping records of all invoices and inputting information into Zedonk per client.
* Regularly liaising with finance department to have full transparency with studio orders.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 4 years’ + experience in luxury fashion production or atelier operations.
* Strong understanding of Made to Order (MTO) and bespoke production processes.
* Experience in coordinating between design, production, and retail teams.
* Proven ability to manage high-end private client projects from concept to completion.
* Hands-on knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, and fabric types (including fusings and interlinings).
* Familiarity with production software, particularly Zedonk or similar platforms.
* Technical knowledge of creating and managing tech packs, order forms, and pattern archives.
* Experience working with European and UK-based factories and manufacturers.

* IT Literacy: Confident using Microsoft Office, Zedonk, and other fashion production/ERP systems.
