Salary: £36,820 – £45,236 depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Completing allocated requirements, design and implementation, and testing tasks to a high standard, within scheduling and estimates Software development of solutions Testing of completed functionality Adhering to project processes and software development practices Accurately reporting on progress and providing feedback to team members and leadership Supporting System Test and Integration Activities Producing appropriate technical documentation Participating in peer reviews of own and others’ work products Configurating completed work ready for testing Your skills and experiences: Degree in a relevant STEM subject – Software Engineering, IT, Computing, Physics or Maths You should have an awareness and understanding of: The full software development lifecycle, from requirements & design through to delivery Software development processes (e.g. design, coding, unit testing), experience of development tools (e.g. UML design tools, code IDEs) You should have experience in at least one of the following: Desktop-based applications (Java and Eclipse RCP or C#/C++) Web-oriented applications and services (Java/C#, JSP, HTML, CSS, Apache middleware) Business intelligence/analytics tools and techniques (ETL, SQL, Python) Windows or Linux target environments Object-oriented design/development including UML Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. You will be working on world beating aircraft products, creating cutting edge software for our hardware systems and be involved in the entire lifecycle of a product, from design and development to integration. Working closely with systems and test engineers, you will enable the development of complex real-world systems that have to perform perfectly every time, as they will be used in real world combat.
