Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance resources to deliver excellence in plant reliability in the designated area or the plant whilst meeting safety, health, environmental and financial targets.
2. Enforce safe operations and maintain environmental compliance.
3. Supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance plan.
4. Collaborate with the planning department to ensure suitable parts, labour, and equipment are available to deliver the maintenance plan.
5. Ensure inspection results and actions are taken to deliver reliability targets.
6. Coordinate deployment of labour, parts, and equipment resources.
7. Manage the section mechanical team concerning productivity, motivation, and discipline.
8. Monitor performance of own staff and contractors and ensure jobs are proceeding to plan.
9. Supervise the carrying out of preventative maintenance inspections.
Licences and Qualifications
Experience/Qualifications
1. Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent or national certificate (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
2. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
3. 2 years experience as a Mechanical Coordinator, Maintenance Team Leader, or Deputy/Graduate Engineer in a cement plant.
