The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people Joining us as a Payroll Assistant You will play a key role in processing and compiling payroll data, as well as supporting end-of-month payroll reconciliations. A major part of your responsibilities will involve managing payroll processing, managing our Overtime/ On call process and generating ad hoc reports as requested, along with preparing and maintaining accurate payroll transaction records. You’ll receive a competitive salary of up to £38,000 (FTE), a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing. This is some of what you can expect to be doing: Calculate statutory payments Act as a first point of contact for Payroll & Benefit queries Managing and resolving payroll-related queries and tickets through the helpdesk system Creating and managing ad hoc reports and Excel files Act as the point of contact and subject-matter expert for all payroll, queries from employees and HR Supporting with the PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) process Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline payroll procedures, related and driving processes efficiency What you’ll bring to the role Given the high volume of data analysis required in this role, advanced Excel skills, including the use of complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, SUMIFS and pivot tables, are essential. As part of our assessment process shortlisted candidates will complete an excel test to demonstrate these critical skills. Additionally, you’ll bring: Solid understanding of statutory payments.
