Your comprehensive understanding of Child Care Legislation, especially in areas concerning Child Protection and Looked After Children, is crucial. You have a proven track record of innovation and managing complex cases, with substantial experience in assessment work. You're highly motivated, capable of inspiring your team, and ideally, have experience in supervising students. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft software, possession of a valid driving license, and being a qualified practice assessor or willingness to gain this qualification are essential. What the Job Involves The position entails executing skilled social work tasks centered on assessments and care planning, particularly in intricate cases, within the Child Care Management Team. You will manage a diverse caseload that includes children, young people, and families dealing with complex issues, demanding your adept social work practice abilities. As part of the duty manager rota, you'll offer advice and guidance as required, and supervise designated team members, encouraging their professional development. The role also involves initiating and engaging in service developments such as Group Work and Self Help. Supervision duties include caseload management, promoting professional practice, giving constructive feedback, and providing professional and emotional support to team members. You might also act as a practice assessor or facilitator for student social workers on placement. Based in Pembrokeshire, the job requires working in the Haverfordwest office and carrying out necessary visits. Registration with Social Care Wales is mandatory, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable role, and the position offers a rate of £33.00 PAYE.
