We are currently wishing to add to our relief pool of Training and Assessment Officers. The successful applicants will join our Workforce Development team and will be responsible for providing and supporting a dedicated training and assessment service to the Social Care Workforce in the Local Authority, Independent and third sector achieving qualifications in Health & Social Care.
Your focus will be to assess an agreed caseload of candidates undertaking Health & Social Care Qualifications at Levels 2 & 3 and to assist with the training and development of the Social Care Workforce (Council, Independent and third Sector) and to other Council employees. This will involve supporting Health & Social Care candidates by providing advice and guidance to prepare for assessment, by acting as mentor and coach to particular groups of candidates. This may involve setting up and running candidate groups.
The role could also involve internal verification to support the centre to meet Awarding organisations assessment processes.
You will be someone who has the relevant qualifications to assess at the level required with excellent communication skills and enjoys interacting with others. You will be innovative, adaptable and work collaboratively.
