Our client is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic manager to oversee their LGV Test Centre.
Reporting to the Logistics Director, the successful candidate should have a proven track record of managing a workshop servicing or repairing LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.
The Job you'll do
1. Overseeing the operation of the test centre and workshop, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
2. Business development and sales.
3. Budget and cost control management.
4. Enforcing health and safety standards.
5. Developing customer relations ensuring effective fleet maintenance.
6. Planning and scheduling workloads (including ATF lane).
7. Collaborating effectively with the DVSA.
8. Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing on parts.
9. Ensuring effective operation of invoicing systems.
About You
1. The successful candidate must have experience in a same or similar role, with relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or be time-served in the LGV repair and maintenance industry.
2. A LGV Class 1 Driving Licence is preferred but not essential.
3. We are looking for an individual with flexibility, adaptability, strong team leadership skills, strong IT skills; and they must be excellent in organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills.
