Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Intern Coordinator to join our care agency in Southampton, specializing in domiciliary and live-in care services. This is a 12-month internship offering a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the care sector, particularly in recruitment and coordination. As the Intern Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations by supporting staff management, assisting in the recruitment process, and providing administrative support. The role also offers commission for every successful new placement and requires participation in the on-call rota twice a month during weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment Coordination: Assist in the recruitment process for care staff, including posting job ads, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial assessments.
2. Staff Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new care workers, ensuring all mandatory training, documentation, and compliance checks are completed.
3. Scheduling Support: Help in coordinating staff schedules, matching carers with clients based on their needs, availability, and location.
4. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for carers and clients, including timesheets, contracts, and compliance documentation.
5. On-Call Duties: Be part of the on-call rota twice a month, managing out-of-hours care staff queries and handling emergencies.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the care management team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations and effective communication across departments.
7. Client Liaison: Assist in maintaining positive relationships with clients, addressing queries and ensuring their care needs are met.
8. Commission-Based Placements: Earn commission for each successful placement of a new care worker, providing an additional incentive for strong performance in recruitment.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. No coordination experience required.
2. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
5. A compassionate and empathetic approach to working in the care industry.
6. Willingness to work on-call during weekends (twice a month).
7. Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets and Gmail.
8. Knowledge of healthcare or administration is advantageous, not essential.
