Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Horsham
Hours: –, 5 days a week
Salary: £ £ per hour
They are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will work closely with our teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide in-class support to students with special educational needs.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
3. Work with teachers to adapt and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of SEN students.
4. Support the social and emotional development of students.
5. Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
6. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external agencies to support student progress.
Requirements:
7. A genuine passion for education and working with young people.
8. Experience working with children with special educational needs desirable.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
11. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
12. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
