We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Theatre Scrub Practitioner (Surgical First Assistant) to join our Theatre team based in Swansea. You will join us on a part-time, weekend basis.
Main duties of the job
1. To act as First Assistant to the Consultant Surgeon, with autonomy in suturing, participating, and assisting in operative procedures and with pre- and post-operative care as required.
2. You will also be required to demonstrate a competent level of knowledge within the specialist field and always work within predetermined areas of competence in accordance with the NMC or HPC code of conduct.
3. To work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve and maintain an outstanding, patient-focused service.
