Administrative Assistant
The St Andrews Golf Club is one of the biggest and oldest golf clubs in the world, with its inception in 1843. Today it is still a private members' club and still has lots to offer the golfing world at large. It boasts over 2,250 members from all corners of the globe and the clubhouse is the envy of many with its view over the 18th green of the Old Course.
We are committed to delivering excellence and fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide administrative support to the Club Secretary and the Senior Administrator ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
2. Manage and prioritise office correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
3. Maintain and organise filing systems (physical and digital) to ensure easy access to documents and records.
4. Process and manage office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
5. Handle basic bookkeeping tasks, such as invoicing, expense tracking, and financial Processing.
6. Perform data entry and maintain accurate databases and spreadsheets.
7. Support with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
8. Support the smooth running of the golf club shop.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an Administrator, Office Assistant, or in a similar administrative role.
2. Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and office management software.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
9. A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
10. Knowledge of basic accounting and payroll processes.
11. A relevant qualification in office administration or business management is an advantage.
12. Previous experience in retail sales.
Pay: £23,500.00-£25,500.00 per year
