The Brokerage Team at West Northants Council brokers care packages for Adult Social Care Services that range from Residential, Respite, and Community-based Care, Supported Living, Supported Accommodation, and Support at Home in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and Council policy.
The role itself will require the Brokerage Officer to manage their own referrals, which includes engaging and communicating clearly with internal and external partners as well as working closely with the Team Leader, Senior, and colleagues to ensure that outcomes are met.
The post holder will need to be able to communicate at all levels, over the phone, email, and face to face, as well as be able to work in a team and on their own initiative.
Brokerage falls in line with the Part Flexible Working Policy; this means that you will need to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.
What will you be doing?
The role of the Brokerage Officer is to broker care packages for Adult Social Care Services, which range from Residential, Respite, and Community-based Care, Supported Living, Supported Accommodation, and Support at Home. To do this, you will have a range of providers with whom you will build good working relationships and work closely with our Quality & Commissioning colleagues to ensure that positive outcomes are met.
About you
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate at all levels and build good working relationships.
You will need a positive outlook, be good at finding solutions to problems, and adapt to working in a fast-paced role and busy environment. Attention to detail and accuracy of work is crucial.
The role requires you to be operational as well as transactional, so IT skills are essential.
You will need previous experience of working independently and have the ability to prioritize your own work while being collaborative and supportive of colleagues.
