The opportunity You’ll join either our Electronics Engineering or Missile Architecture functions – either route offers second to none opportunities to get involved in truly unique projects and products. All offer rotational placements to see everything that the function has to offer – spanning the engineering design and missile lifecycle. The Electronics Engineering function plays a fundamental role in bringing together MBDA’s missile systems: designing and integrating the electronics that drive our Weapon Control Units, Actuators, Telemetry & Communication Systems and more. There may also be opportunity for you to undertake a placement at our manufacturing facility in Bolton or at EE’s French office in Paris, France. Electrical/Electronic Engineers within the Missile Architecture function are deployed across various exciting projects to define the topology and system level design for our missiles, as well as manage the missile electrical/electronic equipment. During your placements you’ll get the opportunities to work on the design and specification of the overall system, learn including how to undertake and manage design and performance trade-off studies, influence delivery of bespoke subsystem electrical/electronic equipment into the project (e.g. control units, PSUs, data links, actuation systems, telemetry units, etc.) along with the possibility to assist with testing and trials of components and missiles during the development phase.
