This service will be supporting people with learning disabilities, whilst also promoting their choices, wellbeing and independence. As an Advanced Support Worker here, you will need to be able to think outside the box, adapt to different support styles, be a team player & be passionate about caring and supporting others. This is a great opening to make a real difference to the lives of others and gain great development. The shifts at this service are 7.30am - 3pm, 2.30pm - 10pm, and waking night 10pm - 7.30am. Your values: The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health. If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care. You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues. We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System. During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
