This exciting role has been created to assist and strengthen the current Driver Training Team within the business. The purpose of this role is to provide compliance training to ensure all drivers are fully trained to the required standards on all aspects of driving, operation of vehicle equipment, Health, Safety and Environment, periodic training and the relevant legislation required to perform their role.

This role will require travel across sites, and whilst generally a Monday - Friday role, there may be a requirement to work outside of regular business hours to support with delivering training.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the design and delivery of driver training modules for complex operational needs
2. Training to safely handle operational equipment and vehicles
3. Mentor and upskill our Drivers, ensuring relevant accreditation, driver expertise and operational compliance
4. Assessing driver training, providing guidance, coaching on driving techniques, operational equipment, managing SWPS – safe working procedures
5. Collaborate with departments to integrate safety and compliance practices across the organisation
6. Create and maintain training records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
What we would like to see:
1. Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving License (C+E) for at least 2 years, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card (Essential)
2. Excellent understanding of drivers’ hours regulations and tachograph usage
3. Previous experience delivering training in manual handling and health & safety
4. Previous experience in distribution of paper-related products, although not essential, would be an advantage
5. Previous experience with high-sided curtain-side trailers
6. Medium level in all Microsoft office programs (PowerPoint, Excel)
