Purpose: We are seeking a Microbiologist to conduct microbiological testing and ensure the quality of our products. This role is responsible for assigned areas, including Bioburden and Environmental Monitoring, while interfacing with other departments to ensure timely product release. The successful candidate will also initiate laboratory investigations, ensure compliance with cGMP and relevant regulations, and manage documentation updates. You will be responsible for :: - Perform microbiological tests, including Bioburden, Sterility, and Antibiotic Potency testing. - Monitor environmental conditions and manage consumables for testing. - Assist with laboratory investigations and non-conformance reports. - Support the validation of test methods and sterilization processes. - Liaise with sterilization contractors and ensure timely ordering of consumables. Qualifications / Requirements : - A-level in Science or Mathematics; BSc in Biological Sciences preferred. - Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting (practical lab experience from a degree is not acceptable). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. - Experience in a quality environment within the Food, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device industries. Skills and Abilities: - Strong knowledge of cGMP principles. - Excellent communication and time management skills. - Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments. - Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and results. Additional Requirements: - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required. - Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs, as well as repetitive motions and standing for extended periods.
