Surgeons: At the Edge of Life - Editor Trainee
We are keen to hear from editors in the early years of their careers who have a passion to work on high-end factual television. In partnership with the BBC, Dragonfly have an opportunity for such an editor to work on the next series of acclaimed specialist factual series ‘Surgeons: At the Edge of Life’.
Over a ten week period, the successful applicant will learn craft editing and storytelling skills working alongside an experienced senior film editor. They will also cut stand-alone packages that form an essential part of each episode, as an integral part of the Surgeons post-production team. They will be supported by the executive producer, series editor, series director and BBC commissioning editors to understand how a complex, multi-part, multi-camera series is crafted in post-production.
This position will be in-person at a facility house in Glasgow.

We are looking for an editor who is passionate about documentaries and factual television and who has the talent to become a leading film editor in high-end television. As this training is about storytelling and not technical editing skills, applicants must have solid experience of using Avid.
