Job overview
This post will not commence before April 2025. This is an exciting time to join the People and Organisational Development Directorate here at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust. We are currently implementing the outcomes of an ambitious People and Organisational Development restructure to reshape our directorate and deliver an improved people and organisational development service to the Trust.
Would you like to help make a difference as part of our DBS review team working across our Lincolnshire Hospitals? If so, we would really like to hear from you. This role will require a physical presence on our sites so the ability to travel will be essential.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team supporting our DBS review project specifically - please note this is a 6 month fixed term contract. You will be the first point of contact for our candidates and your role is essential to providing a safe DBS process meeting role-related priority targets.
Our customers consist of existing employees at all levels throughout the Trust and will require sensitive support through the DBS process. We use an electronic DBS provider and training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
* Updating tracking spreadsheet for the DBS review project
* Using the online DBS software and supporting colleagues with completion
* Liaising with colleagues regarding application status and chasing
* Dealing with emails and telephone queries in an efficient and timely manner, acknowledging the sensitive nature of this project
* Supporting managers with ID check process
* Identifying areas for escalation
* Any other ad-hoc administration duties as required
Person specification
Qualifications
* Level 2 standard of education (e.g. GCSE/NVQ/BTEC) or equivalent experience demonstrating numeracy and literacy
* Level 2 Certified English and Maths (GCSE/Functional Skills) as this is a requirement for many learning programmes/professional development pathways
Previous Experience
* Experience of using information to inform action to be taken
* An understanding of how to handle, resolve and escalate enquiries and pass on information promptly
* Experience of working independently and as part of a team
* Use of applicant tracking system
* Knowledge of Recruitment processes
* Proven and effective administrative skills
* Understands the need for confidentiality
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Confident in using ICT systems relevant to role, including Management Information Systems and MS Office
* Able to work on own initiative without constant supervision
* Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and professionally and remain calm and polite under pressure
* Demonstrates attention to detail and works methodically, responding to changes to meet deadlines
* Able to help others acquire skills and experience
* Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda.
* Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework: Patient Centred Safety Compassion Respect and Excellence
