Now in their next stage of growth they are looking for an Engineering Manager.
Job Overview:
Overseeing the development, implementation, and delivery of engineering solutions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer requirements. Leading the engineering, and input into commissioning and operation of product from early pilots through early running to certified product delivery.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Engineering Lead for engineering team focussing on the technology & chemical engineering, mechanical & piping engineering and electrical engineering, modelling and control systems development.
2. Accountable for production of engineering deliverables required for manufacture of product.
3. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team, identifying opportunities to optimise processes and enhance efficiency.
4. Support development of testing operating and commissioning procedures and management system.
5. Delivery of operating process model, electrical and control algorithms based on testing operating data and provide analysis and scenario outputs as required.
6. Preparation and delivery of support against agreed procedures and to contract protocol.
7. Management of team to meet reporting and monitoring requirements.
8. Check and review of project systems, engineering and technical documents, calculations, data, presentations and engineering reports, with support as required.
9. Provide Factory and site acceptance test criteria definition for Approval by Engineering Director.
10. Leading the operational support team monitoring and advice to operating plant.
11. Ensuring product team attendance at HAZOP, functional safety and other facilitated safety studies such as LOPA.
12. Liaison with design engineers and support consultants in development of certified system.
13. Provide expert guidance on technical challenges, offering innovative solutions to complex problems.
14. Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
15. Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling to ensure project success.
16. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and competitor activities.
17. Represent the company at professional events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
18. Report to senior management on project progress, challenges, and successes.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE
1. Educated to degree/masters’ level within Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Control Engineering discipline.
2. Over 15 Years’ post graduate experience.
3. Design Engineering of process plant or products.
4. Oil & Gas OR Petrochemical OR hydrogen OR chemicals or waste to energy experience desirable.
5. Good communication and organisational skills.
6. Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an engineering organisation.
7. Strong technical background.
8. Competent Microsoft Office Skills.
9. Process Modelling skills / understanding.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
11. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
12. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
13. Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
14. Proven track record of driving results and delivering projects on time and within budget.
15. Passion for continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
