Key role objective
* The principal functions of this position are:
To undertake preparation of installation drawings for projects and tenders as required.
WJ Groundwater offers an extensive training and development program which will commence after individuals complete their probationary period. Company Induction, Initial
basic training & PPE issue will be provided from commencement of your employment.
Reports / Responsible to
* Design Manager (Line Manager)
Key areas of responsibility
* Preparation of factual reports and installation drawings:
* Prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on project specifications.
* Collaborate with project engineers and project managers to interpret and translate technical instructions into detailed drawings.
* Revise existing CAD drawings to incorporate design changes or feedback.
* Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with industry standards, including scaling, dimensions, and notation.
* Maintain records and documentation for project drawings and revisions.

Qualifications & Experience
* Excellent verbal, interpersonal skills, and written communication skills
* Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in drawings.
* Resourcefulness, initiative, and the ability to work unsupervised.
* It is advantageous to have a familiarity with design standards and regulations.
* Must have the Right to Work in the UK
Working Conditions
* The role is office based at our head office in Kings Langley.
Physical Requirements
* The role is predominately office based but does require that the candidate utilises a Visual Display Unit (VDU) as part of their day-to-day activities.
