We are looking for an experienced Fire and Building Safety Advisor who will ensure the Group comply with the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 by developing and maintaining a digital twin and safety case for each high-rise residential premises. The role of Fire and Building Safety Advisor reports directly to the Fire and Building Safety Manager, with responsibility for fire risk assessments in the Groups properties including offices, blocks of flats which include high rise residential buildings and sheltered and extra care schemes in accordance with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Providing fire and building safety advice to Gentoo Group and colleagues to ensure that the Group meets its requirements under applicable legislation and ensure the effective implementation of the Group's fire risk management and building safety management systems. The role is subject to a basic DBS background check. Key responsibilities include: Support the Fire and Building Safety Manager in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Group's fire risk and building safety management systems. Undertake suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments across the Group's property portfolio in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and preparing associated reports. This includes a variety of premises including high-rise residential buildings and sheltered and extra care schemes. Quality reviewing an agreed number of fire risk assessments completed by other competent colleagues in accordance with the BAFE SP205 certification system. Support the Building Safety Advisor - Customer Engagement and Communication to effectively implement the resident engagement strategy on building safety in high-rise residential buildings. Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain a digital twin, safety case and safety case report for each relevant property. Support the Fire and Building Safety Manager and Head of Fire and Building Safety to submit a Building Assessment Certificate application for each relevant property to the Building Safety Regulator when required. Support the investigation of any major incidents in relevant properties that need to be reported to the Building Safety Regulator as a defined Mandatory Occurrence.
