MB710 – Electrical Installation Engineer
Location: South West of the UK
Salary: £46,500 (£55,000 - £65,000 OTE) + Van + Fuel Card
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Electrical Installation Engineer on behalf of our client based in the South West of the UK. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business with an excellent opportunity of career advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Good sound electrical knowledge, for testing and installation works.
2. Extensive knowledge of single and three phase fault finding and 1st time fixes.
3. To carry out electrical repairs/minor works on a variety of LV installations.
4. To assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks.
5. To liaise with the Remedials/Operations Supervisor for planned and routine maintenance programme and reporting procedures.
6. To work to recognised industry standards at all times.
7. To maintain records of all work, and ensure that required paperwork is completed and sent in within the defined timescales.
8. To participate in flexible working hours which may require occasionally staying away from home; weekend work and travel may be required away from your home area.
9. To undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications (Continued Professional Development).
10. Ability to act on own initiative.
11. Ability to work alone or as part of a team to carry out Electrical Remedial Works in a safe and unobtrusive manner, minimising the impact on our client’s normal operations, whilst achieving the required work volume and output required by the company.
12. Successful applicants will be required to work anywhere within the UK and should therefore expect to work away from their home address on an occasional basis.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation.
2. IET, BS7671:2018, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
3. In-depth knowledge of BS7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
4. Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
7. C&G Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations, 2391 – 2400 preferable but not essential.
8. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
9. Valid UK driving licence.
