Overview
This is a full-time role as a Design Coordinator at Forum Contracts in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Design Manager, supporting the design process from contract award through to completion of works. This role involves coordinating design activities, liaising with the wider design team and project consultants, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Duties
1. Oversee the entire design process, ensuring alignment with the project's vision and timelines.
2. Ensure all design activities meet project goals and are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Act as the central point of contact between contractors and consultants.
4. Ensure strict adherence to employer’s requirements and project briefs.
5. Review and approve design documents and specifications to minimise errors.
6. Identify and manage risks throughout the design process.
7. Propose cost-effective solutions to optimise project outcomes.
8. Oversee the timely release of information to ensure alignment with project specifications and timelines.
Requirements
1. Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management or related field.
2. Background in architecture or architectural technology is beneficial.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Experience in design management and preparing design submittals.
5. Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
6. Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.
7. Experience in coordinating design teams and managing the design process.
8. Familiarity with documentation control procedures and statutory compliance.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
