Client Income Officer - Adult Social Care
All about the Role
We are looking to recruit a conscientious and motivated individual to join our busy Client Income Team. The successful applicant will be required to manage, account for, and safeguard the finances of vulnerable adults for whom the council acts as Corporate Appointee or Deputy via the Court of Protection.
They must therefore be able to confidently communicate and liaise with a range of individuals and organisations, accurately manage a range of financial data transactions and deal with sensitive situations in a tactful and helpful way. They will need to be able to prioritise and plan their own workload, be numerate and accurate, work well as part of a team, have effective verbal and written skills, and have good problem solving and decision-making skills.
This role is for 24 hours per week.
All about You
1. You have sound knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting principles and practices.
2. You have excellent numeracy/accuracy and ICT skills.
3. You can establish effective working relationships with operational staff, managers and outside agencies.
4. You have experience of dealing with members of the public, including vulnerable people.
