Mechanical Supervisor

Harrogate, £46000pa

We seek a candidate with a confident background in commercial mechanical maintenance for a public sector role in Harrogate.

You will hold responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of mechanical engineering services leading a multi skilled team to ensure PPM's and repairs are completed effectively to schedule.

The role

* Overseeing a multiskilled of team including Mechanical, Electrical, building trade, maintenance assistants and painters and decorators

* Planning and allocation of work on the FM system in line with maintenance schedule

* Hands off with a responsibility to help with major breakdowns, cover periods of sickness, absence and holidays and providing technical guidance

* Ensuring the cost effective and efficient operation of all plant, equipment and services

* Preparing a range on reports e.g response time analysis and compliance.

* Managing contractors, trade and direct operational staff including performance management, recruitment, grievance and disciplinary matters.

* Managing and improving the PPM schedule

* Managing apprenticeships, learning and general staff training programmes

* Hands on diagnosis of engineering faults and initiating repairs
