The Infrastructure & Network Manager oversees all aspects of corporate infrastructure and network operations. This critical role reports to the Head of Service Delivery & Infrastructure and focuses on developing the Infrastructure and Network team while ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of the network and infrastructure systems.
This position demands a strong leader experienced in building high-performing teams, fostering robust working relationships, and managing complex organisational structures.
Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Management: Guide and support individuals and teams through coaching, feedback, goal setting, and performance management. Prioritise, assign and oversee departmental activities and projects to align with goals and objectives.
2. Daily Operations: Ensure the department operates effectively and efficiently, delivering high-quality results.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop strong working relationships with other departments, such as Legal, Enterprise Risk, and Business Process Assurance.
4. Infrastructure and Network Oversight: Manage all aspects of the infrastructure and network, including leadership, development, and daily operations of the team.
5. Global Coordination: Collaborate with North American counterparts to ensure seamless global support coverage.
6. Security Integration: Work with the Information Security team to implement effective security monitoring and incident response mechanisms.
7. Network Design: Design resilient, high-performance network infrastructures, including data centers, LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDWAN, Internet, load balancers, firewalls, and management platforms.
8. System Management: Deploy and support complex virtual environments, including SAN, HPE technologies, Windows, Red Hat Server OS, Citrix, and SQL.
9. Incident Management: Handle the installation, configuration, administration, upgrade, and maintenance of complex systems, audit and change management, and out-of-hours incident escalations.
10. Performance Monitoring: Maximise performance by monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting service interruptions, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with third-party support and IT engineers.
11. Data Services Support: Analyse requirements and provide proactive cost and capacity planning for network, storage, and compute resources.
12. Project Leadership: Lead projects to support capacity growth, upgrades, new features, and integration.
13. Toolset Experience: Maintain infrastructure and network devices, manage vendor relationships, and recommend changes via the change management process.
14. Security Reporting: Create and manage security dashboards to demonstrate operational effectiveness.
15. Financial Management: Forecast requirements, prepare budgets, schedule expenditures, analyse variances, and initiate corrective actions.
16. Security Frameworks: Implement industry-standard information security control frameworks using templates, implementation plans, metrics, and tools.
17. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations for security-related events and incidents.
18. Strong technical background in both hands-on and leadership roles within infrastructure and network capacities.
19. Experience in solution design and implementation.
20. Over 5 years of experience in global network infrastructure support, including configuration and maintenance of Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, LAN/WAN, and Internet technologies.
21. Over 5 years of experience in global infrastructure support, including HPE Synergy and Alletra SAN storage, GreenLake, Citrix, and NetScaler.
22. Proficiency with monitoring and administrative tools such as SolarWinds, Observium, Pager Duty, Data Dog, and Cisco ISE.
23. Active network certifications such as CCNP or CCDP/CCNA, and preferably Microsoft certification in Core Infrastructure or Business Applications.
24. Knowledge of Information Security frameworks and industry accreditations (ISO, NIST, PCI-DSS).
25. Excellent communication skills for interacting with and presenting to stakeholders.
26. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs while meeting deadlines.
27. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
28. Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional and external relationships.
29. Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and develop teams.
30. Project management skills with a history of successful project delivery.
Salary
£140,000 – £160,000 per annum, Bonus and Great Benefits
£75,000 – £85,000 per annum, Great Benefits & Pension
