We have an open vacancy within our organisation for a Senior Support Worker to work in our new residential home, this position has pathway plan to excel to a Deputy Manager position in a timescale of 12 months.
We are seeking an individual who can be a positive role model and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children and young people in the home.

Job Title: Trainee Deputy Manager - Children's Residential

Reporting to: Manager
Education / Qualities
Essential:
1. Have worked in a children's residential home for a minimum of 2 years within the last 5 years
2. Passion to work with Children & Young people
3. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent
4. Commitment to ongoing training either face to face or E-Learning Training
5. Full UK driving license
6. Experience of working within a Residential Children's Home
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of the Children's Home Regulations 2015
2. Understanding of Health and Safety issues
3. Understanding of Care / Support Principles
Skills:
1. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
2. Able to communicate in an effective and both written and verbal manner
3. Ability to display empathy to all
4. Ability to maintain confidentiality
5. Able to handle difficult situations with minimum supervision
6. Able to carry out household duties
7. Basic Administrative skills
8. Knowledge of the support Industry and surrounding regulations and legislation
