SEN School IT Teacher
Protocol are working with a SEN School in Windsor to provide a Temp to Perm IT Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. They are seeking individuals who are empathetic, driven, and most importantly passionate about working with young people.
The role will entail teaching children with SEN needs, IT and computing, with the aim of improving engagement with their learning. You will support children with Special Educational Needs/Disabilities (SEND) or Social Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH).
Experience and a degree qualification, as well as having QTS status, is essential. Although you may not have previous experience with SEN children, you must have a strong passion and resilience to support those that have these needs.
Hours: 8.30am-4pm - Monday to Friday
Start: ASAP with the opportunity to go permanent on a contract with the school
The successful applicant will:
* Have strong communication skills
* Be QTS or PGCE qualified
* Hold a degree in IT
* Have previous experience working within a school teaching children with varying abilities
* Be adaptable in their approach to suit each individual child's needs
* Deal with situations calmly and sensitively
* Have a collaborative approach and be able to work closely with other staff and families
* Care deeply about pupils' academic, emotional, and personal development
* Be able to use their initiative in meeting the needs of the student, depending on their individual communication and learning skills
* Have drive and determination
* Be adaptable, proactive, and positive
