Are you detail-driven, tech-savvy, and ready to bring your finance skills to a high-performing team? We’re looking for a confident and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join our clients Finance department and support the accurate and efficient processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reporting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about good financial practice, and is ready to own and champion key systems such as eBis and Open Accounts.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Register, validate, authorise, and process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
Administer weekly/monthly payment runs via BACS and cheque
Communicate directly with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries and support payment planning
Managing the eBis system and ensuring full functionality and integration with Accounts Payable
Support non-finance colleagues in navigating eBis and purchase processes
Prepare journal entries and support the maintenance of bulk invoicing and spend analysis
Assist with reconciliations, KPIs, audits, and ad hoc reporting What We’re Looking For:
Experience using eBis and/or Open Accounts (essential)
Previous experience in a busy finance or accounts payable department
Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication skills – able to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders alike
Confidence managing large volumes of data and working to tight deadlines
A collaborative team player who embraces change and continuous improvement
Ideally, a foundation qualification in accountancy or bookkeeping Why Join our Client?
