What You’ll Be Doing:
* Translating complex system specifications into firmware design requirements and ensuring seamless integration.
* Leading firmware development, testing, and simulation to drive system performance.
* Developing and refining robust verification processes to ensure reliability.
* Producing key project documentation, including design specs, test plans, and interface definitions.
* Identifying and resolving technical challenges related to certification, qualification, and safety.
* Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Supporting planning, estimations, and design changes at various project stages.
* Coaching and mentoring junior engineers, with the potential to take on lead roles such as Project Engineering Lead or Work Package Manager.
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
* Extensive firmware development experience across the full project lifecycle.
* Strong background in designing complex electronic systems.
* Skilled in cross-functional collaboration (systems, mechanical, software, project management).
* Proven track record of delivering high quality solutions on time and within budget.
* Expertise in analogue/digital design, EMC compliance, signal integrity, and electrical safety.
* Proficient in industry-standard firmware, PCB layout, and schematic design tools.
* Experience with prototyping, testing, and verification of electronic subsystems.
* Familiarity with requirements management and configuration tools (DOORS, ERP).
* Defence, aerospace, or maritime experience preferred.
* Must be eligible for SC clearance.
