Ward Manager – CAMHS Eating Disorder Service (North West England) Are you a dedicated and experienced RMN looking for an exciting leadership role? A highly regarded specialist mental health service in the North West of England is seeking a dynamic Ward Manager to oversee its 15-bed CAMHS inpatient unit, focusing on eating disorder treatment. About the Service This well-established private hospital provides comprehensive mental health services, including inpatient, day care, and outpatient support. The CAMHS unit specializes in helping young people on their recovery journey, offering compassionate care in a structured, therapeutic environment. The Role As Ward Manager, you will lead and inspire a skilled nursing team, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients. Your leadership will drive clinical excellence, effective risk management, and positive patient outcomes. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team and senior management, you’ll contribute to clinical governance, audits, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Provide strong clinical leadership and management to the nursing team. Act as a visible role model, mentor, and senior clinical resource. Oversee nursing care standards, ensuring quality and patient-focused delivery. Collaborate with the wider clinical team to deliver comprehensive, risk-assessed care. Maintain responsibility for ward resources and environment. Participate in clinical governance and audit activities. Build and maintain effective relationships with local providers and stakeholders. Support the on-call rota (approximately 8 weeks per year). What We’re Looking For RMN qualification with current NMC registration. Proven experience in a leadership role within mental health services. Experience in CAMHS settings and eating disorder treatment highly desirable. Strong clinical expertise, with a focus on quality care and risk management. Excellent communication, mentorship, and organizational skills. What We Offer Competitive salary of £45,000 – £50,000 DOE.
