Job Purpose:
Reporting into the HSSE Business Partner this role will be responsible for supporting and delivery of the safety strategy in our East Midlands Gateway Site. You will be the first point of contact providing safety advice to the business for all aspects of safety across the site.
Key responsibilities
* Be the first point of call in all matters relating to safety for the EMG warehouse.
* Support the site management team and H&S Business Partners with the adherence of site safety plans and ensure the strategies and plans are implemented and visible.
* Advise and assist in the development and review of local risk assessments and safe systems of work. Produce site risk assessment logs and corrective action plans.
* Support site Safety training requirements.
* Develop annual Safety training plan with H&S BP.
* Deliver Safety training and ensure documentation is updated accordingly.
* Ensure Safety information/statistics are input onto the SHE Portal according to timescales and that the information is accurate.
* Support on accident investigations and ensure actions are closed off.
* Produce and analyse Safety statistics and monitor any trends.
* Support all COSHH/Dangerous Goods related issues for the site.
We are looking for
* Experience in a Safety lead role (preferably in warehousing/distribution & transport environment).
* Excellent communication & organisational skills.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Flexibility/adaptability.
* Problem solving skills.
* Training Experience.
