A lovely, welcoming and very busy Somerset-based family seeks an enthusiastic and brilliant nanny. The ideal schedule is Thursday through Monday inclusive, from approximately 6.30am-7.30pm on weekdays and from 9am or 10am-5pm or 6pm on weekends. The role can be live-in or live-out. If live-in, the nanny would have their own separate flat with a bedroom, bathroom, living area and kitchen etc. This is a fabulous role for the right person, based on a beautiful private family estate. There will be four children under your care, all with different personalities and schedules. Responsibilities will therefore include: Getting children up, ready and fed in the morning School and nursery drop offs and pick-ups for 3 children Nursery duties for a 5 month old little girl General meal preparation for the children (and occasionally the whole family if willing) Sticking to a successful afternoon/evening routine after school and nursery Paying close attention to the physical and emotional well-being of all the children, communicating regularly with the parents in relation to any thoughts or concerns Fostering a nurturing, supportive and enabling environment This is more about the right fit than years and years of experience. The nanny will be working alongside the parents (although the position is often sole charge on week days), another nanny and plenty of other estate-based staff. The successful candidate would ideally: Be a fantastic team player, able to pitch in wherever necessary and help maintain a mutually supportive environment Love cooking and be comfortable preparing food for the children (and sometimes for the whole family) Love riding Or at least be willing to learn. The family spend much of their time outdoors and this is a working estate, so expect to be surrounded by animals (dogs, cats, horses etc), with considerable focus on horse-riding Be fluent in Spanish Confident and safe driver (you don't need your own car, though) Confident swimmer Calm, collected, organised personality Comfortable working alongside parents at times, and with working under the supervision of another nanny/estate manager (who has been with the family for a number of years and who is happy to train and offer support) Real 'can-do' attitude - this is an environment where everyone steps in to help everyone else out. The position is unlikely to relate just to the children all the time Bright, positive and cheerful attitude Excellent communicator At least 3 or 4 years experience working with children Accommodation provided (if preferred) Salary from £35,000 DOE Use of vehicle whenever needed
