Overview
* Process Engineer in Back End Operations team, based in Sedgefield and Durham manufacturing sites.
Key tasks
* Support process ownership across all wafer prep processes on the 200mm and 300mm lines, including laser release, mount to tape & frame, laser and saw dice.
* Control processes to ensure stability; monitor SPC and introduce new controls as appropriate.
* Conduct safety risk assessments and proactively highlight any potential risks.
* Provide high quality mentoring, leadership and training to operational and junior technical team members.
* Collaborate with other departments as appropriate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders in process development work.
* Support the development of new processes and introduction of new equipment.
* Support training of personnel on tools and processes.
* Create, review and update SOPs, OCAPs & risk assessments.
* Support with lab safety and management.
Qualifications and training
* Educated to degree level in an Engineering, Materials Science or Physics related discipline or to HND level.
* Trained in the use of quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D etc.
* Six Sigma Yellow belt or Green belt certified is desired although not essential.
Skills and experience
* Experience within the semiconductor industry or similar.
* Experience of reviewing and writing SOPs & OCAP.
* Strong, demonstrable problem solving skills.
* Equipment specification, procurement and installation/qualification.
