This is an exciting new full-time post which would suit someone with an infectious Christian faith, enthusiasm, and energy. The chaplain will enjoy working with young people in school, church, and home/community settings and have a pioneering mindset – able to build relationships and collaborations, see and take creative opportunities, and encourage and enable others to work and grow alongside them.
During term time, the chaplain will normally work a core of three days a week in John Kyrle High School, the one secondary school in Ross-on-Wye. The other two days of the week will focus on growing connections between school, church, and the home life of young people and their families in the ‘Hub’ market town of Ross-on-Wye, based at St Mary’s Anglican Church, and in two small strategic rural locations in the wider school catchment area/Anglican deanery around Ross-on-Wye.
