Description Job Title: Young Person Support worker (Primary Age) Reporting to: Social Care Manager/ Case Manager Hours: A team to provide the following hours: 3 or 4 hours a day on Tuesday (PM), Wednesday (PM), Thursday (AM) and Friday (PM). Wages: £14.00 progression rate, up to £17.50 after all training completed. Location: Byfleet, Woking Role: To create stability for the young person and develop their life skills and opportunities through a range of community and home-based activities. Essential Skills You should have experience of working with young people of Primary school age, who are Neurodiverse and display challenging behaviours. You should be able to “get alongside” the young person to role model and guide them. Ideally you should have a Level 3 in health and social care or a qualification that would be aligned with the role and have transferable knowledge. Freedom can offer training but safeguarding, Food Hygiene, first aid, Team Teach and de-escalation training this would be beneficial. You should have a DBS on the update system although we can also support you in applying for this. This young person does not like to be still, so the ideal applicant needs to be very active and up for being out and about during the sessions. They need to be fun, energetic and willing to build relationships with this young person. You should be self-motivated, energetic and possibly bring additional skills alongside the core requirements of this role.
